Independently owned · San Diego County

Real owners. Real caregivers. Real commitment to getting this right.

SD Caregiving Hub is owned and operated by Rob and Sheri Harvey, not a call center, not a corporate office three states away. We know every caregiver on our team by name. That matters to us. It should matter to you too.

Why we built this site

Caregiver recruiting in home care has been stuck in the same loop for years. Families looking for honest information about care were getting brochure-speak instead of answers. And the people doing the hardest work, caregivers, were being treated like a commodity rather than the skilled professionals they are.

So we built something different. A site that puts caregivers first and tells families the truth. The family resources section exists because we genuinely believe in supporting families who are navigating care.

Who we are

Sheri Harvey. Owner

Sheri has over 20 years of experience as a business entrepreneur and senior business leader, including direct sales, marketing, systems development, project management and organizational change and design. She is a driven, results-oriented professional with an executive background in both growth-oriented and established businesses. Sheri has extensive experience with designing internal control processes, metrics and information systems, budgeting, deal valuation, contract negotiation, and business plan development. She is also Chief Operations Officer & Co-Owner of Comfort Keepers in San Diego, and through her dedication to customer service excellence and her focus on day-to-day operations, she caused the business to continually improve the services provided to San Diego seniors and their families.

Rob Harvey. Owner

Certified Aging In-Place Specialist (CAPS)

An entrepreneur at heart, Rob Harvey has built his career around one core belief: relationships drive results. He leads with a client-focused approach, building the referral networks, community partnerships, and brand presence that connect families with the care they need. Alongside his wife and partner Sheri, Rob helps lead a team committed to care that goes beyond the basics, where every client is seen, engaged, and genuinely looked after. His background spans business development, sales, and innovation, including being recognized with an industry Innovation Award for integrating technology into care operations. For Rob, the work is personal, and the mission always comes first.

Our caregivers

We hire people who genuinely want to do this work, not people who need any job. That means we pay competitively, schedule around real lives, invest in training that actually matters, and treat caregiving as the skilled profession it is. Our caregivers serve clients in their homes, in hospitals, in senior communities, and wherever their clients need them. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

If that sounds like the kind of team you want to join, we are hiring →

The Comfort Keepers connection

We operate as an independently owned and operated Comfort Keepers® franchise. Being part of the Comfort Keepers® network means our caregivers have access to proven training resources. The care experience our clients get, though, comes from how we hire, how we show up, and how we run this office. CK Franchising, Inc. does not operate this site.

How we hire

Every caregiver on our team is an employee, not a contractor. That means they're bonded, insured, and covered by workers' compensation, which matters for families and for the caregivers themselves.

We hire for character first. Skills can be taught. The ability to sit with someone who's having a hard day, to be patient when patience is hard, to show up consistently and treat someone's home like it matters, that we look for before anything else.

We match caregivers to clients deliberately, not just by availability, but by personality, communication style, and what the client actually needs from the relationship.

Where we serve

We serve families and caregivers across San Diego County, including La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, Kensington, Mission Hills, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Poway, and the surrounding communities. If you are not sure whether we cover your area, contact us and we will let you know.

We built SD Caregiving Hub to be the resource we wished existed when we started. We hope it serves you well.
